As the founder and managing director of Sotka Bulk Pte. Ltd., Yahya Karahasan has more than 30 years of experience in international shipping. Starting his shipbroking career in Anderson & Hughes in London back in the early 90’s, he progressed to partner in the Norwegian shipbroking company RS Platou and worked as head of the dry cargo chartering department in Singapore at the same time acting as Managing director of RS Platou Istanbul and Geneva offices. This was followed by 5 years as an executive partner in SSY, prior to establishing Sotka Bulk.

He holds a Postgraduate Degree in Shipping and Transport Management as well as a Master of Science in International Trade and Transport from U.K. Universities.
